The governance of Eurexpo Lyon underwent profound change in December 2006, with a two-fold objective :
The Lyon Chamber of Commerce and Industry is now the majority shareholder of Eurexpo Lyon (SEPEL), holding 53% of its capital, and the remaining 47% is held by Gl Events.
The company’s shareholder agreement gives the Lyon CCI guaranteed oversight since it chairs the supervisory committee. A Lyon CCI representative is also a permanent invited member of SEPEL’s board of directors.
The GL Events group chairs the board of directors and manages Eurexpo Lyon. The group has also increased to 95% its stake in the capital of SepelCom, which organises fairs and exhibitions, with SEPEL retaining a 5% stake.
